Work Continues of the Phoenix D1

Heavily thinned burnt sienna oil paint  goes on first.

This is gently rubbed with a soft cloth to remove excess.

Small dots of raw umber are placed randomly over the area.

Then a stiff flat head brush is used to create the wood pattern.
