Now this discovery. I went to use PolyFilla to fill some seams. After I applied it I realized I hadn't used PollyFilla I had applied ceramic tile cement! With visions of the model melting to a pile of goo in front of me spinning in my head I stayed calm and let it dry. Turns out ceramic tile cement is a very good seam filler for plastic models. It spreads easily. Is easy to sand. It also shrinks very little as it dries.

Engine Parts and Seam Lines
Put the engine together tonight. Also resanding and refilling where the dorsal seam line was still showing. Decided to try and use polyfilla for seam line filling. I read about this technique in FSM and thought I would give it a try.

The seams need some work.
Just time to put some paint on to see how the seams were looking. Good on the bottom. Not so good on the top.

Green Stuff
Not much progress tonight. Green stuff on the join of fuselage halves and sanding of leading/trailing edges of wing.
Monday, 6 October 2014
Lower wing is put in place. Some sanding required here and more sanding will be required after at the wing roots. Still need to sand joins in fuselage as well. That is a project for tomorrow night.
